"Hello, lover!"

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

What a great bit of news, seeing that 80′s style earrings are back. Like the gorgeous emerald drops that Angelina Jolie flaunted on Oscar night, which reminded me of these crystal beauties . When I tried them on for a night out yesterday, I was like “Hello, lover! Oooh, I’ve missed you!”

Now it’s easy to jazz up an old outfit, just by wearing some in-your-face earrings. Even if you’ve trimmed your fashion dollars, you can get a pair of ultra-feminine chandeliers or sparkling crystal hoops… so you look like a film star even without their million-dollar budgets!

Hey, it’s time to shine… what are you waiting for?

Tre Armstrong on the finale of 'So You Think You Can Dance Canada' -- wearing LOTS of MMCrystal jewelry!

Jean-Marc & Tre on the show's finale

Tre Armstrong is playing a major part in spotlighting Canada’s newest dance superstars.

Ms. Armstrong, the celebrity judge from the popular CTV television show “So You Think You Can Dance Canada”, knows what it takes to make a splash in the entertainment world.

Especially since performers on the show are being watched closely for their poise, fashions and creativity as well as their breathtaking dance talents and choreography.

For a quick look behind the scenes, Tre shares this insight on her blog:

“The Top 4 have a schedule unlike any other! And not only are they dancing, they have interviews and fittings and so many behind the scenes stuff to do. I congratulate each of them.”

At the same time, the judges on the show are under the same watchful eye, with millions of viewers watching as the competition progresses. The audience gets to vote on their favorites with each show… and as a celebrity judge, Tre speaks for many viewers with her critiques as she analyses each performance.

When she’s onscreen, Tre is under the same scrutiny. Her role as a judge – even as a guiding mentor to the contestants - mirrors the audience’s reliance on her professional credibility. And her good taste.

Who stands out in the crowd?

Who stands out in the crowd?

After all, when she’s telling someone how to look good on stage, you believe her a whole lot more when she looks good herself, right?

So for the show’s special 2-hour finale on Sunday night, Tre went all-out to make a big impression. Like the dancers themselves, all eyes were on her with each second of on-camera time. So her dress… her hair and make-up… her composure… everything was spectacular for the show.

Nice jewelry too, wouldn’t you say?
