Her introduction to the fashion industry began over 29 years ago, with her first company manufacturing handmade crystal jewelry featured at Holt Renfrew in Canada, Yu Trump Tower in New York, and as far away as Kings Road, Hong Kong. Highlights of Michelle’s early acclaim included being chosen to create custom hair clips for Cher and one-of-a-kind crystal d’or earrings for Candice Bergen, which she wore on the eve of her first Emmy win for Murphy Brown.

Working alongside sought-after photographers and artistic directors, Michelle kept her finger on the pulse of North American and European fashion sensibilities as she expanded her reach with hair and makeup design. But when she was unable to find earrings dazzling enough for her own wedding in the major centers she worked in, she was inspired to draw on her talents and her long-standing industry contacts to create jewelry for the woman who has the confidence to stand out in a crowd.

And MMCrystal was born.

The demands of stylists, models and celebrities have helped to shape MMCrystal designs into classic, sophisticated jewelry. Using only Crystallized Swarovski Elements, the piercing sparkle and richly vibrant colours achieve a memorable effect usually reserved for fine gold and precious jewels.

This reflects Michelle’s own penchant for dramatic, artistic design perfectly expressed in Coco Chanel’s famous remark, “A jewel should not be meager.”

Even as MMCrystal continues to be a frequent guest on red carpets around the world, Michelle isn’t sitting still. A new creative jewelry project is already garnering major interest, with its launch planned for later this year.

And when things get too hectic around the office, sometimes she’ll ‘play
hooky’ for a few hours and spend the morning riding her horse.

Each piece in my line is sculpted and modeled in Canada to my exacting standards from my all-new, all-original designs. No re-hashing of old castings or stampings you’ve seen a million times. No reproductions. MMCrystal is manufactured in Providence, Rhode Island, the traditional home of jewelry in North America. Only there exist the artisans and experts that are capable of crafting the level of quality MMCrystal clients have come to rely on.

Once each piece has met my exacting standards, only then is it embossed with my signature “M” and nestled in our distinctive presentation box.

MMCrystal stands behind every piece we create with a one year warranty. Should there be a defect that escapes our notice, or should a stone come loose from a setting or any other manufacturing defects, the piece will be repaired or replaced promptly.
